Faces of Hope is proud to
give the profits of its various fundraising activities
to the charities dedicated to helping children that
are endorsed by Céline Dion.
Up to now, over $188,000 have been
given to Sainte-Justine Hospital’s centennial,
and there’s more to come!
This year, we have chosen to make
dedicated donations to different pediatric hospitals
in Canada, including the Sainte-Justine University Hospital
Center in Montreal and
Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children.
In order to highlight the global
aspect of last summer’s event, Unicef will also
receive part
of the profits coming from the sale of derivative products.
This year, our priority will be
the purchasing of equipment or goods that will allow
our staff and volunteers to do an even better job.
You will be
able to follow our progress in this section throughout
our campaign.
- On October 17th,
Chris’ mother Debbie Stewart, who lives in England
with our young hero, organized a gala fundraiser with
a silent auction to raise money for the pediatric hospital
where Chris’ life was saved. A book signed by
Céline Dion, a photo and a calendar
were auctioned on behalf of Faces of Hope.

- On October 24th, a fundraising
evening was held at Château Vaudreuil benefiting
the West Island’s Women Shelter. A copy of the
book, 12 héros parmi nous,
signed by Céline Dion, was given to this organization
and the amount raised will be used
to buy toys for the shelter’s children. One of
the godfathers of Faces of Hope,
Michel Lévesque, is involved in this event.

- On November 12th, Michel Lévesque (one of the
project’s godfathers) will be giving a conference
benefiting Faces of Hope. The conference, entitled “Finding
fulfillment through action”, will be held at the
Holiday Inn Hotel located in Pointe-Claire. The profit
from ticket sales will be given to the West Island’s
Women Shelter and to Faces of Hope. For information:

- This year, the
Rock Détente radio station will be holding its
big RadioDon to benefit Faces of Hope and the Quebec
Breakfast Club. The event will be held at
Complexe Desjardins on November 22nd, International
Children’s Day. What better time to buy a Faces
of Hope calendar, offered exclusively during this day
of sharing.
